Riordan Scholars Portfolio Management Case Competition
Over the course of six months, all Portfolio Managers are divided into 5 teams and given the task of managing a $1 million dollar client portfolio. With guidance and instruction from the Portfolio Management leaders, the members of each team work together to create a detailed presentation, which includes the following components: client overview, portfolio analysis, asset allocation analysis, recommendation, and financial performance. Teams may invest in any or all of the 12 Public companies in the Stock Market Competition, the NYSE, Dow, NASDAQ, bonds, and cash. The project introduces students to the excitement and intellectual task of understanding the financial markets.

All I can say is that, nowadays, there are lots of medium of instruction that the teacher can use so that students can better understand the lessons more.In this case Portfolios are also one of the effective used method in teaching.
